Last Friday on July 22nd, Dervos Mid-Year Meeting 2019 was held in Xiamen Office. Our colleagues in Wenzhou office joined us through audio conference. During the meeting, all departments are supposed to do a summary of the first half year and make a plan for next six months. One interesting point mentioned by the logistic department is that railway transportation has a substantial growth in 2019, since a lot of orders in Europe will be delivered by train due to its lower cost. QC department listed out those suppliers with a good quality performance and cooperation attitude. For those, we can have a deeper cooperation in the next half year. Meanwhile, some of the suppliers are not recommended after first cooperation. Purchasing department made a conclusion of on-time delivery for the first six months. Regarding the weekly status follow up and report, there is something we can do to achieve better on-time delivery. Last month, the whole Dervos sales department is divided into two groups. Two managers of these two newly established sales groups reported separately our sales performance and set a new goal for the next half year. Thanks to this company restructuring, both groups are more inspired to compete and fight for the same goal-better sales performance. Our sales director Ken brought us the good news that our sales amount has exceed the same period of last year. Finally, our big boss Eric made a conclusion for this meeting, reviewing the important achievements we have made. Also, we have big plan for the next six months- to set up finished product center and to visit our clients abroad. Although we have gone through a lot of pain and hardships during the company reforming and development in this half year, we still hold the belief that all the efforts we made will pay off one day. We are always on the way to provide Dervos clients with better customer service and products.

The butterfly valve, also known as the flap valve, is a simple regulating and isolation valve. The closing member (valve or disc) is a disc that rotates around the valve shaft to achieve opening and closing. From the structure of valve, butterfly valves can be classified into concentric butterfly valve, double offset butterfly valve, and triple offset butterfly. For concentric type, the center of the stem is on the center line of the valve body and passes through the center of the sealing surface section. For double eccentric type, the stem center forms a deviation from the valve seal section and deviates from the valve body centerline. For triple eccentric butterfly valve, the third eccentric is valve body center forms an angular deviation from the center of the valve body sealing surface. From the connection type of butterfly valve, there wafer butterfly valve, lug butterfly valve, flanged butterfly valve and butt-weld butterfly valve. For wafer type, there are two or more center holes to help with valve installation. For lug type, the around bolted holes make lug type a safer choice compared to wafer type. The double flanged butterfly valve are often used for large-size butterfly valves. The butt welded butterfly vale are used in high pressure application. From the seat type, we have soft seat butterfly valve and metal seat butterfly valve. Generally speaking, concentric butterfly valve and double offset butterfly valve own soft sealing. While, the triple offset butterfly valve has metal-to metal seat.

Last week on June 27th, Dervos people gathered together to celebrate this big day of Dervos- 11th anniversary. The party started at 10:00 in the morning, held in a villa with delicate and western decoration. There are many kinds of recreation facilities in this villa, from KTV, VR games, to billiards and home theater； Our manager Ken was deeply attracted by the VR games. He spent at least four hours on this game and even wanted to buy a game machine (shown in the picture below) home； Boys always like to play billiards. Our boss Eric and QC Jim played attentively, and even our QC manager Lu watched the game so intently. It seems like a real competition between two men. The KTV room was almost occupied by girls. The song “The Sea” Rachael was singing is her “signature song” in Dervos； Look at our fancy dinner! The hot pot and spicy crayfish were all cooked by our sweet and considerate boss, Eric. Everyone was stuffed by the really delicious food. Finally, we called it a day by having this nice group photo. Like Dervos motto, we played hard and worked hard on this big day. In the past 11 years, Dervos people have fought together and had fun together. We believe in the future we will make more success and have much more fun. We will have 20th, 30th, 40th and more anniversaries to come. Lastly, we would like to express our gratitude for all the support we have received in these 11 years from our customers. In February, China's crude oil imports rose 20 percent year-on-year to their highest level ever. Due to the current market situation, the number of crude oil importers is rapidly increasing. As the world's second-largest oil consumer, China imported 31.8 million metric tons of crude last month, or a record 8 million barrels a day, DeVos found, according to data released Tuesday by China's General Administration of Customs. . Per day, February's imports were also up about 27 percent from January's 6.29 million barrels per day. Last week, Beijing-based consultancy SIA Energy claimed it hoped China's crude imports would rise by 860,000 bpd, or nearly 13 percent, in 2016, driven by storage needs, strong gasoline demand and fuel exports. China's largest energy group, state-owned China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), forecast in January that net crude imports would rise 7.3 percent in 2016.

In Fujian province in southeast China, we havea tradition that in last half month of December of thelunar calender, the employer will hold a Year-End Dinner Party to thank employees for what they contributed in the past year. That’s why here comes our wonderful dinner party this year.  During the party, apart from singing, eating and drinking, we will play a traditional but wonderful game. By throwing 6 dices in a red large bowl, everyone will have 6 numbers,. According to different combination of the dices, you can get different prizes from level 1~6. The awards can be special gifts or money. As you can see easily, we got money in red packet this time. From the big big smile on everyone’s face, I guess everyone get what they want.  Life is not always easy, but working in a company like Dervos Valve, where everyone treats you like a family member, we can overcome any difficulty and grow with the company in 2016 and further future.

Each valve manufacturer has sprung up in the market, bringing great vitality to China's manufacturing industry and making significant contributions to the national economy.   With the accelerated development of China's machinery industry, the valve industry as one of China's machinery industry also has a huge growth space, and through transformation and upgrading is gaining greater development space.   Today's society, economy and technology is changing rapidly, people's living standards have greatly improved, accelerating the renewal of production technology, bringing great potential for the development of industrial production.   Valve as an important part of the important technical equipment, especially in electric power, petrochemical, metallurgy, urban water supply and drainage systems, playing a key role.   However, the rapid development of the valve industry gradually caused many problems, the valve industry is facing a serious challenge. However, the challenges are always accompanied by opportunities, therefore, actively promote industrial transformation and upgrading to achieve quality and efficiency has become the only way for the valve industry.   At present, China's valve industry is in the process of transformation and upgrading, adjusting the product structure, the pursuit of independent innovation, the development of products with intellectual property rights. Only in this way, China's valve industry in order to adapt to market changes, seek breakthroughs, development success.   The valve industry needs to gain more innovative advantages and get higher grades, not only to win market recognition, but also to maintain a good and stable growth momentum.
