Hydrogen service is a condition in which the medium contains hydrogen. Hydrogen-dependent equipment refers to the equipment containing hydrogen in the medium, including the hydrogenation reactor, the hydrogenation heat exchanger and the hydrogenation separator. Under high temperature and high pressure conditions, hydrogen is easy to produce hydrogen and hydrogen sulfide corrosion with steel equipment, resulting in steel strength reduction, or even damage to equipment It can be divided into hydrogen-dependent process and non-hydrogen-dependent process. Due to the particularity of hydrogen medium (small molecule, easy penetration, hydrogen embrittlement, explosive, etc.), high quality requirements are required for the valve body and valve cover: Forgings are preferred for body & bonnet material. Casting can be selected for large-caliber valves, but RT secondary sheet standard is required. Valve design and manufacturing can not have sharp chamfering, all chamfering needs to be smooth, parts processing accuracy and surface are very high requirements; Valves need to be cleaned strictly; During the pressure test, the strength test should be done for gas strength test, not just for water strength test. In the case of hydrogen valve, the requirements will be higher. The material of valve shall control the content of C, S and P, and conduct crystal phase test, etc. Valves with hydrogen media can also be tested with hydrogen according to SHELL 77/308 specifications. Must pay attention to fire safe, blow-out proof, and anti - static.

The jacket valve has good heat preservation and cold preservation characteristics, and the diameter of the valve is consistent with the diameter of the pipe, and at the same time, the heat loss of the medium in the pipeline can be effectively reduced. It has good thermal insulation properties and can effectively reduce the heat loss of the medium in the pipeline. Insulation valves are widely used in various systems such as petroleum, chemical, metallurgy, and pharmaceuticals, effectively reducing the loss of heat in the pipeline and preventing the appearance of crystals and solidification of the medium. The function of the heat preservation valve is that when the valve passes through the valve at a high or low temperature, the material in the heat preservation valve has a heat insulation effect on the medium, so that the medium does not condense or stick to the inside of the valve body, so that the opening and closing of the valve can operate normally.

Mid-Autumn Festival fell on Sep 13th, 2019 this year. On the previous day Sep 12th, our company held a celebration activity by having moon cake gambling and dinner together. On this day in China, family gets reunion to have dinner, eat moon cake and enjoy the glorious full moon. And people in different districts have different ways to celebrate this festival.  In Xiamen, we have a special custom, moon cake gambling. Money or various daily necessities can be regarded as the prize for those gambling winners. Likewise, we held a moon cake gambling games in Dervos. The prizes are of variety and attracting, including floor mopping robot, mountain bike, electric cooker, humidifier and etc. The day ended with a terrific dinner party. Plug valves are commonly applied in different areas, but how to choose the right type of it?  In this article, we will introduce briefly about it. 1. Lubricated Plug Valves This type of plug valves uses a lubricant injected under pressure between plug face and body seat, in this way, it can reduce friction and seal ports. And they perform well for the fluids including abrasive particles like dirty upstream applications, gas pipeline system with bypass valves. 2. Non-Lubricated Plug Valves Non-lubricated plug valves are equipped by a sleeve for the seat part, which can reduce friction between the plug and body, it is more commonly used in applications that don’t need much maintenance like sulphur, hydrogen fluoride. However, it has limitations on temperature and pressure due to the non-metallic material of sleeve. 3. Eccentric Plug Valves There is only a half plug in eccentric plug valves, when you are needing a higher seating force with minimal friction from open to close position, you could consider eccentric plug valves.

How to maintain the valve to make it better service for us? 1. The valve should be stored in a dry and ventilated room and blocked at both ends of the access. 2. The valve installed and in use should be inspected regularly to ensure its normal operation. 3. Check whether the sealing surface of valve is worn, and repair or replace it according to the situation. 4. Check the valve stem and stem nut. If the packing is outdated, and replacement should be carried out. 5. The sealing performance of the valve shall be tested to ensure its performance. 6. The valve in operation should be in good condition, flange and bracket bolts are complete, threads are not damaged, no loosening phenomenon. 7. If the valve is used in a poor environment, vulnerable to rain, snow, dust, sand and other contaminants, it should be installed for the valve stem protective cover.
