A steam trap valve is a device designed on devices that require steam, which can automatically discharge condensate, air, and non condensable gases from the steam system and prevent steam from being discharged.

Important Functions

(1) Able to quickly remove condensate generated;

(3) Remove air and other non condensable gases.

The necessity of using steam equipment to remove condensate and air:

(1) Prevent water hammer: If there is condensate in the steam pipeline, it will be strongly impacted by the high-speed flowing steam on the pipe wall, valves, and steam equipment, causing damage or damage to the pipeline bends, valves, and steam equipment.

(2) To prevent a decrease in the efficiency of steam using equipment: Steam using equipment (especially indirect heating devices) is aimed at effectively utilizing the latent heat of steam. Excessive condensate trapped in these devices comes into contact with the heating surface, reducing the heating area and uneven heating up and down, resulting in a significant decrease in equipment efficiency.

(3) Prevent corrosion of steam inside equipment: Oxygen in water and air coming into contact with the equipment can cause chemical reactions, leading to rust corrosion.

(4) Prevent damage to steam using equipment: Due to the different temperatures of steam and water, the condensed water inside the equipment generates temperature differences locally, causing temperature difference stress and equipment damage.
