In the past, people tend to replace the old valve with a new one, and just throw or abandon those valves as garbage or sell them at a very low price. For some valves with high pressure/ high temperature/ large size, the cost of renewal is very high. Thus, we gradually realized the economic benefit of valve repair and maintenance. But before that, we should learn to use right method and excellent repairing equipment.

Due to lack of concepts and equipment, most of users still replace old valves with new one, or just have an overhaul when the valve really broke down, which is not good to the valve service life and will bring potential risk of massive loss by emergency shut down or threatening people’s life.

If the valve get overhaul only when it broke down without good care, this will bring the difficulty of repairing to a large extent, sometimes it is even too late to repair. Therefore, regular and organized checking and maintenance work mean a lot. It is critical to repair a small problem before it become big issue, since even a tiny damage on sealing surface could possibly leads to serious leakage accidents.
